Rotate Inspire series screen for lefties

It should be a standard function to have the ability to rotate the watch face for left handed users. The button needs to be reached with the thumb of the left hand and not be able to get constantly pressed by my hand.

Just unwrapped my birthday gift and super disappointed that this isn't a feature!

This is a feature that I had on my Fitbit One that I miss!

This definitely needs to happen. Seems like a really easy software implementation.

Hello,

Just bought my first Fitbit, a Inspire HR. Wearing a watch on my left wrist, so was planning on wearing this Inspire on my right wrist as a bracelet.
Surprised me I couldn't rotate the screen 180° to have the button on the inside so I could operate it with my left thumb and not press it accidentally with the top of my right hand wen bending it...

Hope this will be a new feature soon that comes in a software / firmware update.

cheers,

Dietrich

To be able to flip the screen is a MUST. I am left-handed and wear my Inspire HR on my right wrist. I can either wear it such that the screen is oriented as it should, but then the button is difficult to press or have the button convenient, but then the screen is flipped. Please add this feature!

When I wear my Fitbit, as I do a watch on my left hand with button facing out, the screen is upsidedown. There doesn't appear to be an option to rotate the screen accordingly. So it is arbitrarily designed not to cater for those who would like to wear it arguably the correct way without such a feature. I'm sure this would be an easy enough quick fix that would benefit many users.

I wear the Inspire FitBit on left wrist but the button is on the left side so I have to cross over my wrist to push it in, could button be swapped to right side please?

Who thought that the button/sensor on the left side of the devise was a good idea? Do you even wear your own products? Software solution is most likely a reasonable fix to either invert the screen or allow rotation

Hi @Cedon  with watches, where is the button? Left side. I think it's done for those who are right handed and the device on the left wrist. You a leftie? I have lefties in the family and they have learned to wear things reverse of how I do, being a rightie.

i'm a righty lol to "press" the button you have to reach "across" the device to use it with your thumb or you have to reach over the top to "pinch" it with your index finger, neither feels natural, if the button where on the right side of the device it would be a simple touch with your index finger.

and the winding button on most watches is on the right of the watch 😉 if it's a digital watch it usually has buttons on all sides, and the ones you use most often are also on the right, the left side buttons are for less used operations.

at least give people the option.

and thanks for the reply 🙂

Hi @Cedon, thanks for taking the time to share your feedback about swapping the button to the right side. This feature suggestion already exists so I’ve moved your post here as it is not currently planned.

I'm not sure if the button placement would pass a kinesiology test even for RH ppl. Trying to use my thumb to press it causes pain in my elbow and wrist so I have to reach around with my index finger. Seems a no brainer to give ppl with different hand dominance and different abilities the option. Future models should not need a button at all...? Tap, two finger tap, tap and hold.... lots of other options.

I’m confused. Is this an issue with HR? I got the hr in december 2019. I’m a lefty and wear it on right hand - with button on outside. Was able to change the display in the fitbit app. The app has it listed as “non-dominant hand” option.

Righthand users wearing their Fitbit on their left wrist, can operate the Button with their thumb. A Fitbit worn on the right wrist, has the Button on the wrong side to accessible by the left hand thumb. Unless the clock face would turn upsidedown when the settings say Non-dominant hand.

Dear Moderators and Developers, I asked for this feature more than a year ago. You claimed I would receive updates "soon". Thank you that nothing happened. I am not buying anything from this company when Chinese products can do this and much more for a fraction of the costs.

I also want to be able to rotate my screen on my Versa. Very frustrating when I glance at it while exercising and realize the button was slightly jarred by my own movement and paused my timer. I've stopped using it and just hope the automatic recognition program picks it up.

I use Supernatural in VR. I would like to be able to sync my heart monitor to my Supernatural account in the program so I can see it white I workout.  Currently I have to login to my app on my phone afterwards.
