Turn on notifications centre again

Based on recent customer feedback, you deactivated the notification centre in the app. Push notifications may appear briefly on the phone software but the notification tab in the app is empty or very out of date. The forums are full of very confused people wondering why there has been a change or why the notification centre is still there. Please bring it back!

Please bring back notifications on the app.

I agreed, please bring back. Seems weird to have my phone app up to date (Oct 18) and only see notifications from June 😞

Please turn back on the notifications so they appear when you go to the app - the red dot is just frustrating

Either bring this back or get rid of it completely. I get push notifications for things like (just now) Michelle S pulled ahead of Sarah N for first place......but then I can't see it in my app notifications, which has a red dot on it, indicating unread notifications. All or nothing, FitBit. All or nothing!

Bring back the notification please. The one lonely old message and the red dot are driving me mad.

Very poor user experience FitBit...

If you are removing a feature

1) do not leave that feature visible in the mobile app

2) Please also remove the mobile notifications configuration panel in the website.

It appears to have been a half cocked decision which is executed very poorly leaving your valued customers angry and confused.

Easy solution is to turn back on this feature!!! There are so many people here asking why it was turned off in the first place. I would love to have seen the background research behind your decision on this.

Remember user experience in fitbit will drive users towards your business but equeall when done badly it will drive us away.

I, too, would like to have the Notifications tab in the app do something useful, or if that's not possible, to be removed.  Showing old notifications and messages with a red dot indicating something new every time I open the app is really annoying.  And I did really enjoy getting the encouragement of knowing when I was close to my goal, at it, or significantly past it.  Please bring it back!

Please bring back the notifications under the Notifications tab. The red dot is not adding any value and I have spent a lot of time trying to debug this (deleting and resintalling the app, clearing data on the device and so on) as I thought it was an issue on my phone/device. It is default mobile experience that if you indicate to the user about an unread notification(via a red dot), it is followed by actually showing what that notification was all about. Thanks for your consideration.

The notifications queue in the app not updating is AGGRAVATING!!  I always looked at it to view various things including badges, reminders to reach my step goal, friend/challenge requests, and the various other options it used to track.  Mine hasn't updated in nearly a year...and there's no way to remove the old ones.  Swiping as suggested in the forum doesn't work and there's no way to batch select the messages and delete them as with other apps.

PLEASE FITBIT...fix this!  Either get rid of the notifications section in the app (not ideal) OR restore the functionality.  As you can see from numerous comments on various forum entries, so many people love this feature.  Focus on the user experience!  There was no reason to remove this functionality!

Please fix this ... either bring the notifications back or remove this from the app. As others have noted, the persistent red dot is annoying. If you are removing a feature, it should be removed from the app. This is very poor UX. Smiley Sad

Please turn the notifications back on. I bought a Fitbit for that function and to deactivate it is not right. I have a disabled husband and can not have a phone on me at work. Having the vibration and seeing his message pop up on the Fitbit was very important. You should not sell a product advertising that feature and then deactivate it. Turn the iMessage notifications back on! Very dissatisfied with Fitbit, will not buy anymore of there products. Reactivate it please!!!!!!
