Family Quests - not getting credit?

My wife and I have Fitbit watches that sync with the Fitbit app. We also have both joined our kids on their family quests for their Fitbit Ace Ltes, but we can't tell what activity (on our part) actually gets counted. There send to be no documentation on it, and it doesn't seem to count all of our activity.

For instance, I had over 10000 steps of activity today according to my watch and Fitbit app, but the Fitbit Ace app did not count nearly that much.  I need to know...

What counts? Or how do we get the Ace app to actually count things?

I'm not sure but I would make sure everything is updated before force stopping the app and clearing the app cache.

Hello @J-Bel

You're not seeing your steps tracked by your Fitbits in the Family Quests because, currently, only steps tracked by the Ace LTE app on your phone count towards the Family Quest. Please see this help page on the Ace LTE Family Quests (<-- click link).

The team is already working on syncing activity with other health apps, including Fitbit, for Ace Family Quests. The help page mentions that the timeline is sometime in 2025. Personally, I would think that Fitbit would be one of the first apps that will be able to sync.

Please keep watching this Community forum for updates on this feature.

Thank you for your reply.  The document you linked to says, "Only activity tracked through the Ace app on your phone ... will be counted towards the target." But what it doesn't answer is:

1. What activity does the app on the phone count?

2. How do you get it to track activity?

I don't see anywhere in the app where you tell it to track activity or what activity it tracks.  I know it tracks something, because I do have some numbers, but I can't purposely contribute if I don't know how I can contribute.  Can you clarify this for me or point me to some clarifying information?

Thanks.

Hello @J-Bel

Currently, the main activity for Family Quests is steps. The Ace app on your phone should be tracking steps that will get added to the Family Quests. I believe those are the numbers you're seeing in the app.

When there's integration with other fitness tracking apps (e.g., Fitbit) later this year, the types of activities for the Family Quest could be expanded.
