Fitbit Ace Pass Transferrable?

Hi, I have the annual Fitbit Ace Pass. If I end up swapping the ACE LTE watch because of defect, will my Ace Pass transfer to the replacement ACE LTE watch? If so, what does the process look like.

The Ace Pass is linked to an account. The way I understand it, the Pass should transfer to the replacement device when you log with your account information.

If that's not the case, let us know.
