Is there a workaround to add a debit card that isn't Greenlight or Acorn Early?

We got our son the FitBit LTE as a 5th grade graduation gift.  He loves it, but I'm disappointed that it doesn't integrate with CarPlay/Android Auto as others have mentioned AND that it was only after getting the device that we realized that in order to use NFC, you have to have either Greenlight or Acorns Early.  My son gets maybe $30 allowance a month, so to have $5-10 coming out in monthly fees is crazy.  We have a fee-free kids debit card from Capital One that we LOVE.  Only issue is that he loses the physical card out of his pants/shorts pockets.  We were thrilled to learn about the NFC watch option, only to be very disappointed that you can only link it to the two limited and high fee accounts mentioned.

I don't believe there's currently a workaround to add other bank cards to the Ace LTE. 

There's a feature request in the Product Feedback forum to allow all possible bank cards for the Ace LTE  (<-- click link) that you can add your vote & comments. 

You can also submit this using the Feedback option in the Ace LTE app:

• Tap your picture/avatar in the upper right of the Ace LTE app
• Tap on Feedback in the menu that opens
• Complete the prompts and submit

The feedback reports go to the team for review. 

Last that I heard, the team has been working on adding more kids debit cards. However, I haven't seen any timeline for which bank cards will be available to use with the Ace LTE.
