Last member added isn't in the family chat

My husband and I are on a family chat with our daughter, who has a Fitbit Ace. I've been able to invite my older son (no Ace, just a regular phone) to the family chat.  He is in our google family.  I can see from my phone that he has been invited and it says he just needs to download the app. He has received the invite email and he has set up the app.  He can text my daughter one-on-one, but he isn't showing anything about family chat.  Any thoughts?

Since I don't use Family Chat, I'm going to ask around to see if I can get help get an answer for you. I'll report back when I have an update.

Update: I got a response from a team member.

First, please check to make sure that you are using the latest version of the Ace LTE app.

Second, please have your son submit the issue using the Feedback option in the Ace LTE app:

  • Have him tap his picture in the upper right of the app and select Feedback in the menu that opens.
  • Have him complete the prompts and submit the report

The team will receive the report and take a look at what's going. They will contact him if additional information is needed.

It showed up as an option for him around 7:00 pm on Friday, so now it's working.  Thanks!
