No Ace LTE notifications for Google Pixel Watch

I have a Google Pixel Watch and expected the Ace LTE to vibrate or ring when my child called me on my Android Pixel 7 Pro. I was surprised to learn that the Google Pixel Watch displays no notifications whatsoever when a child wearing the Ace LTE calls.  

I would love to be able to receive a notification/vibration on my Google Pixel Watch if my child got lost and needed to contact a parent at a time when I didn't have my phone in my pocket (but I did have my Pixel Watch on connected to Wifi).

Have you enabled the Fitbit Ace app notifications for your Pixel Watch? To check:

• Open the Pixel Watch app and tap on Notifications to open the Notifications page
• Tap on Phone apps
• Swipe up to Fitbit Ace. If it's not enabled, tap to turn on notifications

I have a Pixel Watch 2 and recall that I had to enable Fitbit Ace app notifications for my watch. I don't think notifications were turned on by default on my watch when I installed the Fitbit Ace app on my phone.

It is turned on, but I don't receive any watch notifications. I have an original Pixel watch. Maybe that's why?

I wouldn't think a Pixel Watch 1 vs 2 would make a difference. But there might be something that we're missing.

I'm going to check with my colleagues to see if they have any suggestions or recommendations.

After doing a little more checking, I confirmed that notifications for Ace calls don't show on my Pixel Watch 2. One of my colleagues also confirmed that he doesn't get notifications for Ace calls on his Pixel Watch 2.

Ace text message notifications show up on our watches just fine. Tapping on the notification from the watch shows the option to open on the phone. We think that this should be the same for Ace calls.

I will submit a feedback report for this. Hopefully, this won't take too long to fix.

Please find a solution! I get text message notifications on my Pixel Watch (the original version watch) but no call notifications on my watch. I really want my watch to notify me if my child is calling me.

I would like to know if there is any plan to create the Fitbit Ace app for the Pixel Watch 3. It is ironic that both watches are made by Google for Fitbit, and the two cannot communicate without the phone.

Agreed, this is a bad UX.  If Google wants to create an ecosystem the watches need to work together.  Lots of great missed opportunities here for Pixel watch to Ace delighters.

Please submit this using the Feedback option in the Ace LTE app:

• Tap on your picture in the upper right of the Ace app
• Select Feedback in the menu that opens
• Complete the prompts and submit

Although you likely won't receive a reply, the team receives and reviews the feedback reports.
