Sibling contracts/chat is live

My kids got a watch update yesterday and today I was able to add them as contacts for one another going through the standard "add a contact" route. 

It said that the contact would have to accept an email invite but it actually added them right  away without having to do anything with the email.

Do you have the family chat option? My kids don't have a Gmail account so I can't add them that way currently.

I forgot about family chat. I don't see anything in the app though. I also didn't know you could use the watch without the kids having a Google account.

I saw on another post that the app will be updated in the next few days. For children under 13, you can make a child account that doesn't have its own email address.
