Audible Metronome App Request

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

I use an audible metronome app on my phone to maintain cadence while running. It would be great to have such an app available for training that can be integrated to run in the background while tracking running stats with the Sense. Hoping to see a feature like this offered with a firmware update in the near future!

I doubt it will ever happen if Fitbit doesn't even recognize cadence as a running parameter. For Android, I just use the Metronome Beats app that can play the metronome and provides playlists (you can set up different cadences). If you don't confuse your phone with playing another player in the background (like Spotify) then you should be able to use your watch to control the metronome playlist (regular music controls should do it). For iPhone, I don't know but probably you can find a similar solution.

There are several apps, but none run in the background and they all use a slight vibration, rather than an audible noise.

@Rich_Laue which makes them rather useless for that purpose. Audible noise also makes no sense. I tried something like that on Garmin (metronome is one of the standard features) and it's barely audible (if use an internal speaker). The vibration, when the cadence is high (180+) it's really hard to use (and synchronize steps). Ideally, would be the app that can play sound through headphones but API doesn't support it. For Sense, the best solution is just a phone app controlled with music controls. I think this would work quite well.

Thanks for the list. I checked them out and not a single one is compatible with the Sense. Only Ionic and Versas. Makes no Sense!😁

Other than the Sense and Versa 3 having a different operating system and requires the slither to rewrite their app.

However, I did mention that none of them will run in the Background, which you do want.
