I found out that when my icon is under 62 degrees it will not charge you have to warm it up to around 65 before it will connect and start charging

Hey there @Homemade, it's great to see you around the forums! I'm posting below the environmental conditions for Fitbit Ionic:

Hope this helps!

@MarreFitbit: of course your post does not help.

It is clear from the problem description that the original poster is using Fahrenheit for the temperature scale (else warming up to 65 would be, well weird).

Which is well within the operating temperature range and therefore it does not give any clue at all why his/her Ionic is not charging.

The fit bit operates fine in those temperature ranges my issue was the Fitbit would not link and charge if the Fitbit itself was under 62 degrees.

Exactly, my point was that your fitbit should also be charging within the operating temperature range.

Posting the operating temperature tables was pretty useless, since it was well within the range.

I would:

- check for dirt/corrosion on the contact points

- make sure that by 'warming up' your Ionic you do not touch the USB cable (perhaps cable broken internally)

- Try a different charger unit (and cable).

If all this does not help, I would conclude that your Ionic is faulty

I went for a run this morning and it was -3F.  My Ionic shut off (crashed) about a mile in.  Are you saying this is expected behavior?

@NoFearJB according to chart in the above stream the non operating temp range is -4 to 14 degrees farenheit. You may want to cover the ionic with your sleeve if you are out running in extreme cold.

Same here, first time out and froze dead .80m in. Just want to give mother nature the finger and say you can't keep me inside. I'll keep sleeve over it next time. Just thought it could mess with GPS if I did like it seemed to do with my last surge
