Is there a blood glucose app that compatible with the Fitbit app? A lot of the glucose apps have more than just glucose monitoring, things like number of steps. It’d be nice if the Fitbit app would sync with the glucose app so that all info would be in one.

Hey there @Karbearlove, welcome on board! Robot Very Happy Fitbit announced a collaboration with DexCom to develop and market products to help better manage their diabetes and get a more complete picture of their overall health.

The first planned initiative will be an experience available on Fitbit Ionic that will show users data from the Dexcom G5 Mobile continuous glucose monitoring (CGM) System (with either Android or iOS devices) right on the wrist, without having to open an app. This will be developed using the Fitbit SDK, rest assure it's currently in development slated for this year.

The full announcement can be found hereHowever there are no further details I can share with you at this time.

I've also checked if there's someone already on the move in creating Glucose app as the one you want, but there's no one so far. So, the best place to make your voice heard is the Feature Suggestion board on our community, which our product development teams consult regularly to ensure we're delivering on what our customers need and want. Please take a moment to visit and give us your feedback.

Our product team, community members, and developers look forward to reading and incorporating your suggestions into future versions of Fitbit trackers and apps.

I encourage you to take the challenge of creating this app. What do you think? Woman Very Happy I'll definitely use it! If you consider being the developer of this, check the article How do I develop new apps for the Fitbit App Gallery? for detailed information of the process.

Thank you so much for your feedback and for participating in our community!

Gotta be asked on a semi-regular thingymebob -

Do we have any news on whether there will be a blood glucose monitoring feature on any upcoming fitbits?

BTW I am not looking for an app, I am looking to find out if any of the range are capable and enabled to take a BG reading.

@Slarique Welcome to the Fitbit family! Thanks for your interest in a feature that will allow you to monitor your blood glucose.

I was making some research in the Feature Suggestions Board and was able to find some ideas that will interest you:

Please feel free to vote for those ideas and leave a comment as well. Stay tuned for those for updates. As you can see, one of those ideas is already marked as "Under Consideration" which is great!

Hope this helps. Keep me posted! Smiley Happy

I'm pretty amazed there's still no solution here. I'm a diabetic and there's loads of apps on my phone to keep track of what you eat when and what my blood sugar levels are at the time of eating said food(this is a manual thing you type in no need to sync to a dexcom or something I don't own.) Is there really no app the I can say for breakfast I drank my shake ( scan barcode like I currently do so it logs the carbs fiber etc) this was at 9am and my blood sugar was 121. That's all I really want. That way I can keep track of what I eat and how it effecta my blood sugar when. I've seen so many requests in Google but nothing saying use this app....if I invest time making this app can I get paid? Lol crazy

There needs to be a setting for people that are not diabetic that want to keep track of their glucose readings. Right at the moment I'm showing pre-diabetic when I check my fasting blood sugar, but the app only tells me I'm within normal ranges, because there's no way to change the setting to show if I'm above a normal fasting glucose for people without diabetes or are pre-diabetic.
