Heart rate not showing on dashboard

I'm do see my heart rate on the app and FitBit for real time data (current and resting heart rate), but I'm not able to access any data on heart rate when I exercise. It's not listed on the top of my dashboard with steps, miles, cals, etc.

I'm not sure what is being asked @KatiStreet .

You mention an app, but is this app on your tracker or on the phone? If phone, which phone?

You mention your heart rate app while exercising and your dashboard.

Is this dashboard on your tracker or phone?

 

Did you manually start up the exercise on your tracker, or on your Fitbit app on the phone

Or are you letting Fitbit decide that you are exercising.
