How to have the app featured in Fitbit App Gallery?

There is any way/guideline to have your app featured in Featured or Staff Picks sections of Fitbit app store ?

Hello there @florinmatinca, thanks for stopping by! To share an app with your family or friends, no app review is necessary. These private apps aren't available through the App Gallery, and you must directly provide the app's link to others.

To share an app publicly with Fitbit users, the app must be reviewed by the Fitbit team. The app is evaluated for its content and quality using our App Gallery Guidelines. Once the app is approved, it becomes available to all users through the App Gallery. For more information on the submission process, see https://dev.fitbit.com/​.

Hi @MarreFitbit thanks for all the details, but I'm not asking about sharing the apps with friends, I'm asking how can I get promoted in Featured or Staff Picks sections.

For example, there is some one in the Featured section with two apps there ...

As suggested above, I invite you to visiting our Feature Suggestions board. This is a space where Community users can post features, ideas, and suggestions that they'd like to see in future Fitbit products, accessories, and software and top-voted suggestions get relayed to our product team for review.

So, you're saying that I should suggest promoting my app in Feature Suggestions board ?

I'm just trying to learn if it's worth investing time in developing Fitbit apps. So far it looks like a bet or like that sections are reserved for apps of Fitbit staff.

Hi @florinmatinca! If you want your app to be showed in a specific category in the App Gallery (Featured, Staff Picks), I'd suggest to make a request in the Feature Suggestions board. 

On the other hand, you can definitely develop apps. To share an app publicly with Fitbit users, the app must be reviewed by the Fitbit team. The app is evaluated for its content and quality using our App Gallery Guidelines. Once the app is approved, it becomes available to all users through the App Gallery and it can be found in the "View All" option.
