I only have the fitbit app on my phone. Can't it talk to my PC app?

I don't have a wearable firbit device.  I just loaded the fit app to my Windows 10 and LG phone.  How can I get them to recognize each other.  I count steps

Make sure you use same Fitbit ID/email to log into both devices.  I have not used it without a Fitbit device but expect you should be able to see any data you manually log in app both places.

Before posting, re-read to see if it would make sense to someone else not looking at your Fitbit or phone.
