Just got an Ionic for Christmas - eagerly went to download my spotify songs, cant........doesn't synch with it and after searching appears it wont.......iTunes is no different, so its supposed to be able to store up to 300 songs - so where do these songs come from then? Am I missing something? so unless you have uploaded your own music (I don't have any as I use online services like spotify) so unless you have your own music then you cant load anything onto the iconic? Is that correct? That's the main reason I got it!

You are correct, you need to have your own music or, if you are in the US, you can use Pandora.
This help file explains more: https://help.fitbit.com/articles/en_US/Help_article/2251/
Hopefully more options will be rolled out in time.

OH man, this screams "millennial problem".
Nobody ever said the Ionic supported Spotify.
I have both Pandora stations and my own music on my ionic. I can't complain..

Im not in the US so no pandora, and I dont wish to purchase each CD of a song that I wish to load onto my iconic, hows that millennial problems? I purchased it to upgrade from my regular tracker so I could listen to music and it cant do that unless Im in the US or purchase CDs to load..........so what I purchased it for is now useless - $399 down the drain but thanks for your help......Im nearly 50 so Im not a spoilt child I just expect it to have at least the ability to hold various options of music for that price!

Ionic Gift for Christmas - Live in Canada and have Spotify, yet I am unable to load music onto my Fitbit from Spotify? Its a bit of a letdown as that is one of the features I wanted which steered my wife away from buying an Apple Watch. So music and the Ionic is not the gift that keeps on giving!
Also, the battery life is, well not even close to what the specs say and the Apps are clumsy and do not function well with my iPhone 7+. I am giving it a longer try but thus far it has not been seamless, although I did finally purchase some nice Bluetooth earbuds, which I bought thinking I was able to download music easily.
I am with the others, if I had known I had to download preset music outside of Spotify I would have suggested an Apple Watch to my wife. Oh yeah, I am 55 and embrace technology so I should have known better.
