Hi there,
The current solutions for smart sleep alarms were not to my satisfaction. Therefore I decided to make my own sleep alarm app. Since Fitbit does not allow background running apps, so the "app" needs to be a clockface. The app shows the time, some stats, a graph with your heart-rate of the past 30 minutes. The alarm can be activated on certain days. 15 minutes prior to the alarm, the app will look when you are in a light sleep phase and wakes you up by vibrating.
The app can be downloaded here: https://gam.fitbit.com/gallery/clock/43927694-3298-4743-8da7-3f1cda080f1c
You need to open the link on your phone so that the fitbit app opens.
To set the alarm: Press the time, and the setting icon appears. Press the settings icon and there you can set the alarm.
The app has now a limited design but contains all the elements that I currently like. A digital clock with a Heart-rate Graph. The battery percentage is prominently present because i wanted to test that battery consumption of the clock face. Styling and customization is on the wish list but for now I would like to test the functionality with a broader audience. Please report any issues or feature suggestions in this post.

Can you make this compatible with the charge 2?

@AprilD87 no, it's not possible. Apps can be developed only for Ionic, Versa and Versa Lite.

I noticed that if you don't hit the snooze button, alarm stops going off. Which means if you don't feel the first alarm, then the alarm won't try to wake you again. The snooze button should remain, but even witbout hitting snooze the alarn should repeat by default, until the resting- HR+20 bpm is reached.
Thanks for the great app by the way!!!

Any planned support for Versa 2? Can't download it currently from the app store.

Hi, it is still waking me up on non work days. The alarm wasn't set for those days
I also can't cancel it, so I had to uninstall the app to stop the vibration

I had to get rid of it too, great intentions behind it, but just has too many bugs to make it reliable/useful.

@new-face With the new Fitbit OS 4.1 update, Ionic and Versa family watches (1, Lite and 2) have a smart alarm built right into the stock Alarms app. Set your alarm as you would normally do and the tick the box that says smart wake.

THIS is genius! I've been searching for a solution for my Inspire HR to implement the smart alarm feature. Is there any way to adjust this app for use on the Inspire HR interface?

Hi,
your app seems really cool and I would like to try it out but unfortunately I have a charge 2 Fitbit. Would it be possible to make a version for other Fitbits with the main functions like the alarm?

Hello @Daylight123 unfortunately independent developers can program apps like this only for Ionic and Versa. The Charge series (and Alta, Inspire etc) is not supported.

I’ve read the details for this clock face and it is exactly what I have been looking for, is it possible to make it available for Versa 2? I tried downloading it and it said it is not available for my device 😞

Can you add a feature to help us time afternoon nap. Problem with conventional alarm is that you can't estimate when would you fall asleep and when should you time alarm to wake up. That's why sometimes I wake from deep sleep stage and feel groggy. So if the app turns on the alarm as soon as it detects that user fell into sleep and then sound the alarm after 20 minutes that would be very very helpful.

Hi! This app is exactly what I’m looking for, but unfortunately it’s currently showing as Not Available for me. Is this because I’m in the UK rather than the US? Is there any way around this that you know of so I can use the app?
Thanks!

Hi!
I'm an insomniac and was wondering if it's possible to set the alarm, not by target time to wake, but by hours slept?
Thanks!
