Unable to connect Fitbit Versa with Bitmoji

I have a new Fitbit Versa 2 and I have installed the Bitmoji clockface. However it won't connect no matter what I do.

I have bitmoji and snapshot connected. I click the connect in the Fitbit Bitmoji clock settings, and everything seems to be working smoothly. It goes back to the settings quite happily, but it still says "Connect" as if it hasn't worked and my Versa isn't set up.

I have tried removing Fitbit, Bitmoji and Snapshat and reinstalling. I have tried restarting my watch and my phone.

Nothing seems to help.

Any ideas?
