I know there are a few other threads around this, but since this seems to be the last major issue for me I thought I'd start a thread on it.
I'm sync'd with a Lumia 950 Windows phone (release preview insiders ring) and I cannot get weather or strava to update. The Ionic syncs with the app without issue and even notifications work pretty well (huzzah!), but the only time I have gotten the Weather to sync was hooking the Ionic up to my Windows 10 pc briefly and forcing a WiFi connection in the Fitbit app. I had weather until the next morning, but now it just tells me that I need to sync my Ionic again. Strava has never worked at all yet. I've authorized it previously through FitBit for my Charge2, and I've authorized it in both the 950 and on my computer but nothing happens. Through mobile it does not appear that the authorization sticks.
I have seen that no matter what I do I cannot get the WiFi sync to work through the FitBit app on my 950. I've tried connecting the 950 to the non 5ghz network that the Ionic should connect to but it only tells me that it cannot find any devices. I have also noticed that in the mobile app the Weather location adding function doesn't really seem to do anything. If anyone from the software team needs me to log issues in the app and send them in I would be more than happy.
Otherwise everything else about the Ionic is awesome!

@Riftpoint Welcome to the Fitbit family! I'm glad to hear that you are enjoying the Ionic! It is really an awesome watch.
For the weather app to work properly it is needed to have the "All day sync" option on. You can find this on the Fitbit app by going to Account and then tapping on your watch's image. Also, please check this great article for more details on how to set up the weather app for it to work correctly. You will also find information regarding Strava and the steps you need to go through to have it connected with your watch.
When you go to your Apps on the Fitbit app, and tap on the gear icon that is on the Strava app; do you see "authorization state: connected"?
Also, please note that only GPS activities will sync to your Strava app on your watch.
Hope this helps. Let me know how it goes!

All day sync has been on from the beginning. My strava account is authorized and connected.
The only time I can ever get it connected and synced is if I manually make sure that I'm connected to my home WiFi through the fitbit app. Even then it is inconsistent.

Thanks for jumping in here @Edu008! I'm glad to hear you were able to solve your issue after using Wi-Fi.
Keep in mind what @SantiR shared with the link above. Your watch must be connected to Wi-Fi in order for some larger apps and clock faces to install or update. For instructions on connecting your watch to Wi-Fi, see How do I connect my Fitbit watch to Wi-Fi?
In order for apps to access the internet, your phone must be nearby with the Fitbit app running in the background and Bluetooth turned on.
Let us know if you need further assistance!
