A few days ago I noticed the weather not updating. When I click on my weather app, it says sync the fitbit mobile app to update. So I sync the app and it does not update. I checked my location services, I restarted my phone, I even restarted my fitbit. It won't let me uninstall and reinstall. Can anyone help?

enable the application to have your location always instead of while using the app in the settings, it fixes everything in 2.5

I'm having the same issue. On Android 10 with latest Fitbit app and Versa Lite firmware.

After the last sync and update of my Versa, not only did the Weather app stop working, I can't find the apps at all now on my dashboard. I'm really frustrated. Why does it have to be this difficult to update a watchface? An Apple watch may be in my future.

I have tried all of the suggested fixes for weather app on this site and none work. When I tap the weather icon on my watch I get a long list of error messages such as :
cannot find file meteo_data.json

My weather app stopped working for no apparent reason. I tried All the typically useless Fitbit support told me to do. So frustrating dealing with them. Anyway, I finally thought to do the following and it started working. I hope it lasts.
Go into Settings in the weather app on the phone.
Turn all permissions off.
Force a sync.
Turn all the permissions on.

Your suggestion worked for the weather app thank you for info. However, I still can’t get the weather reported on the clock face directly after the last update. Fitbit customer support is very
poor.

I'm having this exact same issue, using Android with my brand new Versa 2 (with all the updates installed). I have All-Day Sync on right now. I tried disabling all the permissions, syncing, and then re-enabling them (and syncing again). It knows where I am because it shows the city name, but it doesn't show any weather data. It just says "Sync the Fitbit mobile app to update". The app says it synced "moments ago". That this bug has been going on for so long without being addressed is shockingly bad. This is something that should just work, straight out the box.

My weather app stopped working yesterday. It looks like my Versa Lite is syncing everything else. I’ve tried various suggestions in this forum and another topic forum. Nothing is working.
I have had this watch three months and am rather disappointed at all the glitches.

Is anyone going to answer this?????? I have now tried force closing the Fitbit app and restarting. Another topic said to do that.

if I had known all this three months ago, I never would have bought this Fitbit. There’s always a glitch!! ALWAYS!
someone said they had deleted the weather app and reinstalled it, but I don’t see how to do that. I do not have an uninstall option. How do I do that? Or anything else that will fix this latest problem.

Hello- my weather was not working either. It said I had to sync with the app. I followed all of your prescribed steps. Nothing worked. I then went and added a city. The weather DID display for that city. However, I wanted to go back to using “current location.” So I deleted that city and synced the device. Now, the app still displays with that city weather even though it isn’t even listed under my app settings. I restarted my Fitbit. Synced at least 10 times. Nothing has worked. Honestly, since getting this versa I have had constant little software issues like this. Very frustrating.
