Weather app is not updating on my Versa

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

A few days ago I noticed the weather not updating.  When I click on my weather app,  it says sync the fitbit mobile app to update.  So I sync the app and it does not update.  I checked my location services,  I restarted my phone,  I even restarted my fitbit.  It won't let me uninstall and reinstall.  Can anyone help?

when I clicked on weather app city came up but no data. Tried syncing a gazillon times, rebooting phone and watch. Turning Bluetooth off then back on. After a week of this finally found info to go to Fitbit app on phone, click on ACCOUNT ICON upper left. Then click on ACCOUNT NAME. YOU HAVE TO GO IN AND RE-ENTER YOUR CITY(s), EVEN IF CITY NAME SHOWS ON WATCH WEATHER APP. Finally got weather app working after a weeks worth of frustration. This is not the first time I’ve had to do this and probably won’t be the last. TOTAL LACK OF COMPLETE INFORMATION ON FITBITS PART. REALLY NEED A WELL WRITTEN USERS MANUAL. It’s taken me close to 4 months to figure this watch out thanks to the lack of complete instruction manual. I would hesitate to recommend this product to anyone because of this. Oh, and the step counter doubles your steps no matter what.

I think I called them so much that they did something to get mine to work. Mine is now working great!
This whole situation should not have happened. I’m sorry it didn’t work out for you.

Having same problem as everyone else. Versa 2 will not sync with accuweather. Have all permissions and all day sync selected. Have turned off watch and still no luck, even while in strong wifi. Continues to advise to sync Fitbit mobile app to update. It worked for me when I first bought it, but after a software update, it stopped never to return. Is Fitbit working on this in good faith or will they simply continue to repeat advisement about making sure permissions and all day sync is turned on?

After trying to sync both my phone and computer (which did so successfully), the weather still was not showing up on my Fitbit Versa. I shut off my Iphone for 1/2 minute and then turned it on again. The Versa then showed the weather.

Weathernut^ nailed it for me.. Went in to my account on the app (top left) -> name -> personal -> location -> updated my country.
Then back in weather app settings, my city came up instantly.

My Versa 3 once showed the weather, then it stopped. I might have changed the location settings somehow. Today I followed the above directions, but this time I went to section on the Fitbit app on your phone and added the city where I currently live. I also added another city to which I'm traveling. After I synced my device, I opened the weather app and it showed the weather for the two cities I listed as locations. I'm good to go now. 🙂

I'm also having the same problems. It started after I updated my fitbit versa 3. I have tried all of the above steps and nothing has worked.

Removing my current city and then replacing it with the same and then syncing worked, finally. Thank you

This article does not help. The All Day Sync option is not available on the Versa 4. All Day Sync setting has been removed. What's the point in having the weather on my watch if it's only correct when I manually sync my app? I might as well just open the weather app on my phone.

Disclaimer: I haven't read/checked previous suggestions

1, I got my Pixel 6 to work with Accuweather (it worked before) on Versa 2 by manually entering a city on the mobile Fitbit app:

   (a) Open Fitbit app on mobile, select watch icon (top left) which takes you to your account, select row showing your Fitbit (Versa 2 in my case), select Gallery, search for Accuweather and select it, under settings add the/your city, re-sync Versa 2 to mobile - it should work now

2. If you want the weather to change based on location then make sure you enable location sharing:

    (a) enable location permission on the Fitbit app as shown in your first screenshot, don't worry that the button shows off, if you see the exclamation like your second screenshot then it won't work, toggle it so that it looks like the first screenshot

    (b) On the mobile system "Settings" menu, find the "Location" option and select, under "App location permissions" select the Fitbit app and set to "Allow all the time"

    (c) Remove any manually entered cities

    (d) Re-sync Versa 2 using the mobile Fitbit app and the weather info should appear correctly on your Versa 2 (note that

Good luck 👍
