I just received the versa 3 and so far everything seems to be working well, however, when my screen closes for even just a couple of seconds the weather app goes away and I get "no local location" and I have entered and re-entered the locations several times.

If the weather doesn't update, check the following settings:
If you change locations, sync your device to see your new location in the Weather app.

Hi @marieglasser - it may work better to not enter a location and use current location instead.
