syncing ok but not saving history

My Fitbit One is synching daily steps count just fine, but when it changes to the next day my previous day's information is no longer on the app. It has not saved any information in 15 days. This is not a problem of the device/app synching, which it does nicely every day. But rather a saving of the step count to the days previous.

Curiously if I go back about 15  days of 0 steps showing, on the 16th day in history the steps have been saved and show up. So there is this window of 16+ days including the current days as they become history, that shows the 0 steps. HELP

p.s. I have tried uninstall and reinstall of the app, twice. Open close phone.)

MsMax, thank you very much for the update news.
I can't believe after all this time, they are saying there will be a fix in the coming weeks.
This could be early next year at the rate they move.

How is everyone's Inspire 3 working so far ?

I own three One's, two have new batteries and one has the original battery in it.
At this point I have no idea what to do with them other than wait for a possible fix.

I checked the fitbit app on my iPhone and had an update waiting to be installed, 4.27.1
Of course nothing visible has changed in the app.😟

Is the pic the inspire 3 in the Fitbit one clip or is there another clip for the inspire?

I know, next year if we're lucky. Still, it's something I haven't bought an Inspire 3, yet (waiting for Amazon Sale this coming week, see if the price goes down a little.

I have 2 One's and I'm still using the one on my ankle. I figure if Fitbit provides me with the Weekly Status report and it's accurate, then somewhere in Fitbitland there must be a place where our data is still being collected and tabulated.

------------

I bought an ankle tracker holder and wear my One in it (seems more accurate to count steps using your feet, to me)

With the net area as large as it is, I'm sure the Inspire 3 will fit inside, fine, too.

the link at amazon for this is: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07BW46Z1R/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&th=1

------------

I glued a strip of sequence onto the black tracker so I don't look like I'm wearing and prison bracelet

Received iPhone fitbit app update 4.28 today, I don't see any visible changes.

I got sick of waiting on a fix that may never come so I bought the Inspire 3 to wear in clip mode. While the Inspire does sync and keep a record of steps, the syncing is glitchy, at times requiring numerous attempts before it finally goes through. It rarely auto-syncs. This happens more often than not.

It shouldn’t be this way. I’ve been a Fitbit customer since 2014. They’ve destroyed the app!

I’ve tried at least 10 times today to sync the Inspire and it won’t sync. I’ve installed the latest update, turned Bluetooth off and on, restarted my phone, and nothing. I have an iPhone. The last time it synced was early yesterday.

What a piece of crap! This isn’t the first time I’ve had issues with the Inspire, although this is the worst. I’ve had it since 9/23. Usually I can get it to sync after a couple of attempts.

0/10. Do not recommend.

I really miss the One. It worked for me great before the app took a dump at the end of August.  I thought buying the Inspire would fix the problem and while it is better it’s very buggy.

Same, no change for me either even after the update

Oh my GOD. the Inspire isn't working property now, too???!!!  I haven't bought an Inspire 3 yet, hoping that google/fitbit will be true to its word and create a fix for the ONE. I had wanted to buy one during Prime Week but the price didn't go down. But now that Inspire is acting up too, (image of me pulling my hair)

I'm not sure why folks who have the Inspire 3 are having trouble syncing. Mine has been functioning like clockwork since I received it two weeks ago and has synced every day. My step count has been saved and I'm liking the sleep info that it provides. It does sync automatically and I haven't had any issues with it not sending the info to my insurance app. I hope you are able to get it working for you as I'm starting to like it. Not as much as my One since that was a lot easier and did everything I wanted, but at least I have something I can clip on my sock and give me good step info.

That's reassuring to hear. I'll give google one more week and than I'll break down and buy an Inspire 3.

Apparently a new update, 4.28, isn't working for folks, either.

I'm so tired of all this.

MsMax - My Inspire is working fine - no issues.  Storing all my steps.  Just an update.

OK Guys, looks like it's about time for us to start calling/emailing the office of the CEO. You won't get Pichai of course, but most CEO's have several assistants who have a lot of clout in the company and can get things done. Be polite, but firm, indicate that there are many of us (and perhaps reference the case # of MsMax (5-5206000037162) and maybe with pressure from the top we can make this happen.

Best Answer

I didn't know you could do that. How do you get the email addresses of these CEO assistants? Do you have this information, JenW58?

COMPUTIAC said that their Inspire 3 works well, but that the newest update 4.28.1 shows no changes, i.e. the ONE, I'm assuming.

Here is a copy of the email I got from the tech people on Oct. 5th promising solution in "upcoming weeks". It's now 12 days since that email. Fitbit solution rectify app data issues underscore.jpg

MsMax,
I don't own a Inspire 3, I have three One's which work as they should except for fitbits broken software.
Thanks for the link to the newest article which doesn't sound good for the future of fitbits at all.😢

Best Answer

Oh, okay. I have two Ones, and I'm waiting on Fitbit customer service's promise to provide a solution.

@COMPUTIAC Interesting and thanks for the update.  I am on Android and the version is still 4.27, released about three weeks ago.  I just checked and there is nothing more recent available to me in the Play store.  Seems like they had been keeping IOS and Android releases synchronized.

I'm on Android, too. And the update hasn't changed for me, either.
