Hello - I have the same issue. Blank screen, overheating when on charge - VERY HOT. App doesn’t seem to open anymore. Have been having issues with Fitbit for some time including duplicating data from the previous day instead of displaying new data. It helped to turn of app/ph. Have tried all recommended fixes to restart but no result.

I started wearing my inspire 3 on my leg (ankle) a month ago, and I just realised that it’s leaving a red mark (like a rash) underneath it. Anyone had a similar experience? Is the Fitbit burning my leg or is it something else?

Best Answer

I've had my Inspire 2 for a couple years, and been happy with it thus far. I have a stainless steel band on it.

A couple weeks ago, I got a rash under the fitbit. Itchy, blistery and red. I thought maybe I had gotten soap under it that was irritating my skin. So, I rinsed and wiped the Fitbit and wore it on my other wrist. A couple days later, the rash appeared on the other wrist.
I've considered "liquid bandage", to minimize contact. Someone else suggested I put tape over the sensor side of the fitbit.

Questions: How wet can I get the fitbit to rinse it off, in case there's soap on it?

How can I protect my skin without losing data collection?

I was even thinking about getting some clear bandage like they use in hospitals, to keep an IV secure and clean. Clear and thin.

Tips? Tricks?

Is there a band for the Charge 6 that isn't terrible? The original silicone band gives my arm an angry red rash. I tried a few different inexpensive bands from Amazon. The best of these, a nylon mesh band, doesn't turn my arm red, but it falls off pretty quickly when I wear it.

Can anyone recommend a good band? That clicks well with the Charge 6 and won't cause a rash?

Hello @galonch1

Since you get a rash from the band that came with the device, have you had a chance to contact Support (<-- click link) about the issue? If not, that would be a place to start. Complete the prompts until you get the option to chat or call.

This is my second Fitbit , burns from my previous one, new charge 5, burn marks, despite not wearing it all the time, kept back clean, what is causing this. I am going to look for another brand.  This isn't right.

My Versa 2 leaves burns on my skin under the band to the point of scarring. Is there some kind of recall on this model that I'm not aware of? To be clear, the fitbit gets cleaned every week and I never put it on wet skin or too tightly. I never had this issue with my Inspire or Luxe model.
