Re: After more than ten years of loyal Fitbit use and logging, I have been crushed to lose my cumulative tracking
I have a goal (at my advancing age) to reach 24,901 miles (the distance around the world) in the distance/steps I have taken/tracked. The loss of dashboard tracking of my years of cumulative data and the visualizations has been devastating to me. I hope to reach my goals in the next 5-6 years, yet I have no way to track progress. Would subscribing to Premium restore those functions? I know I can request a data download, but I have no idea what app or function would let me use that data to restore the tracking and visualization of my 10+ years of distance & step data. Thanks in advance for any help Fitbit or users can provide. Can you help?

@ColoradoGrl Sadly, it won't. We all lost access to our lifetime data when Fitbit shut down the web dashboard. Please vote for and leave a comment on this request in the Product Feedback forum. You can also send feedback directly from the Fitbit app if you migrated to a Google account. Tap on your profile picture, then Send feedback.
You can go a little old school. Tap on your distance tile, then move the slider to year view. Your year distance should be just above the bard graphs. Take some time and add it up.

Thank you for that suggestion, but in looking at that, none of my cumulatives for the past five years or so are accurate (to say the least)--several years say I walked zero miles. Now, I guess I DO need to extract all my data and find a way to look at it. If Fitbit has corrupted my data somehow, then I guess it is time to move to a more reliable platform (and pretty much give up on that long-held goal of 24,901 miles since I may not be able to accurately retrieve that data). I am so disappointed.

Geez, I am as appalled as you both are. Was hoping my own limited tech skills would mean I just needed to search farther. Every year in mid May, since 2012 thirteen years ago, I post my cumulative miles and steps in one of my Facebook albums. Last year I still used the Fitbit site to discover these numbers. Last night I discovered not only can I not do that any more, Fitbit /Google arbitrarily erased my first two years (2012, 2013). So my data appears to be gone. I had over 100 Fitbit friends around the world. Most of them have bailed on Fitbit due to their aggravation. I loved creating challenges for us all. Then the company took those away. I began painstakingly doing it using Stridekick. I kept using Fitbit due to all those years of statistics and history. I liked the fact that Fitbits counted vertical motion as well as horizontal. However my Fitbits have been dreadful at counting floors since about 2015, for a decade. This loss of data may be my last straw. Yes, there are far more important things going on in the world than this. However Fitbit used to be a wonderful tool for staying positive, for assessing progress, and focusing on better health. One by one the things I loved about Fitbit have disappeared. Fitbits have drastically reduced their customer service and their usefulness, even while the owners act like everything is hunky dory. The one bright spot for me is that some years back I took tons of screenshots which documented each of those years now deleted. So I should be able to piece together my own history but I should not have to. Sorry for our shared loss of confidence and satisfaction with Fitbit and their customer service. Arrrgh!

Aarrgh. Ignore this. I thought my post didn’t get posted so I did it again only to see that it does appear. Couldn’t discover how to simply delete the identical content so ignore this please. Thanks.

I just lost over a decade of data when it forced me to switch to sign in through google. I have premium and it won't even sync to my Fitbit watch. I'm done!
