Cancelled Premium but it's showing in the app

I signed up for the 90 free trial, and I cancelled before being charged with the automatic renewal - I even have the email from the Google Play store confirming this. My issue is my account is still showing I have premium and I have access to all the features. I have checked and it doesn't look like I've been charged, but I want to make sure I am NOT charged because I don't want it anymore.

How can I be sure I won't be charged since I cancelled in time?

Thanks

@JaimieBoles A warm welcome to the Community. Thanks for getting in touch about this.

I appreciate that you mentioned you have cancelled your subscription and that you have an email from Google Play Store confirming this.

To check your current subscriptions on your Google Play Store do the following:

- Visit the Play Store on your phone

- Look for Subscriptions

- Find Fitbit and it should show cancelled or expired

Keep in mind that the Premium view on your Fitbit app will remain until your subscription ends.

I'll be around if you have any additional questions.

Mine is doing the same. Is there any way to remove the premium sooner? I didn't like it all and I was hoping when my free trial ended 2 days ago it wouldn't show anymore.

@SunsetRunner A warm welcome to the Fitbit Community. Thanks for getting in touch about this.

Sorry to hear that you didn't like Fitbit Premium. If your Free trial has ended then the Premium view should be removed from your Fitbit app, please try logging out, force quitting the app and log back in.

Let me know how the troubleshooting goes. I'll be around if you have any additional questions.

Hello,
I tried that. Even Uninstalled and reinstalled the app. The trial ended on
August 16.

same situation here. I don't like the premium additions and can't seem to get to go away, even after the free period expired and I have uninstalled and reinstalled the app. Also have confirmed that the free subscription is cancelled and labelled as expired and now removed from my Google Play subscriptions list 😕

@DeviceGuru It's nice to see you in the Fitbit Community. Thanks for getting in touch about this.

I appreciate the troubleshooting tried prior to posting. It's pretty weird that even after cancellation and uninstalling the app your app is still showing this.

Please try the following troubleshooting:

  1. Log out of the Fitbit app
  2. Force quit the Fitbit app.
  3. Restart your phone.
  4. Log back in to the Fitbit app and see if the issue is resolved

Let me know how the troubleshooting goes. I'll be around if you have any additional questions!

I got an email from Apple about a week before premium trial was going to end and to make sure I cancelled before Sept 23 2020. So I did I cancelled it through apple, but yesterday when I checked it was pending as a charge on apple. Very irritating and this morning I woke up to an email from apple that purchase was completed. My fitbit doesn't even work anymore, (it's older and I loved it, I plan on getting another one when I can). I had forgotten that I even had signed up for this until that apple email letting me know prescription of $79 was coming due.  I signed up for the free trial with fitbit obviously a huge error since I never used it and I can't find a way to cancel it or get refund from fitbit. wth? Since I signed up for the free trial with fitbit then I should have been able to cancel it through fitbit. and yeah I know, now I have to call Apple blah blah blah. but it really shouldn't be this difficult to get customer support on this through fitbit, since the premium addition is a fitbit product.

@aamma A warm welcome to the Fitbit Community! Thank you for getting in touch about this.

Sorry to hear about your experiencing cancelling your Fitbit Premium. Your feedback is appreciated and be sure that your comments won't be unnoticed. It's pretty weird that even though you cancelled your Fitbit Premium you were still charged as you mentioned, Fitbit subscriptions aren't refundable however, you can always contact Apple to ask for more information about this.

I cancelled premium before the trial period was over. Subscription shows expired but I'm still seeing Fitbit Premium - not sure how to remove it. Anyone had any luck removing it? Thanks!

Just wanted to provide an update.... premium is now removed from profile.  I didn't do anything particular.  It just disappeared today 🙂
