Cannot activate 1 year free premium with non-gmail account

Hi. Just got an Inspire 2 with the one year of premium fitbit. I'm having difficulty activating the premium 1 year trial.

1. When I try to add the premium on my Android phone, it automatically uses my gmail account, not the email account associated with my fitbit account. I am logged into my fitbit account using a non-gmail account.  I see no way to change the premium feature to use the account I'm logged in with.

2. When I try to add the premium account through the web site, it doesn't recognize that I have an inspire 2 with 1 year of service (after logging in), and it only gives me 90 days.

How do I get the 1 year free premium service and get it associated with my ACTUAL fitbit account?

After reading a bunch of stuff here and elsewhere, I went ahead and subscribed to premium using my gmail account on my Android. Given that premium only works on smartphones (not in the web - really?), I am guessing that it's attached to ONE device. I also have an iPad which uses an Apple ID, not a gmail account, so I'm guessing it won't work there.  If this is true, then I won't be renewing once the trial is over. So far, I've seen nothing in the premium that is worth the price to me and worse, by subscribing, I lost features on the phone that I did like. Add to that the idea that the Premium subscription isn't usable on all my devices -- nope, just not worth my $$. Even MyFitnessPal ($30 cheaper per year), Spotify, and Netflix work on all my devices AND my desktop. I hope I'm just misunderstanding here.

Correction: I just found the graph data on the phone. You have to click on an icon that looks like the "share" icon in other apps, so it's not intuitive at all. PLEASE choose icons that make sense.

I just bought a charge four. Almost two months ago now. And I can’t for the life of me remember if I got the premium trial. I think I did. But I cannot figure out how to check if I got it or not. Do you know where I should go to check by any chance?

Open your fitbit app on your smart phone. Tap on the "today" icon in the bottom left corner. Then in the bottom right corner, tap on the "Premium" icon. If you are subscribed to Premium, it will tell you what the features are. Otherwise, it will ask you to sign up for Premium. At least, that's how it works on my Android.
