Charge for Premium on a 90 day free offer

Signed up for a 90 day free offer of Premium when I bought a versa 3 and was charged. Got in touch on chat and told someone would get back to me.....they didn't. Called the help line, told they'd pass me on to someone to help.....they cut me off. This sounds like a scam where Fitbit offer this but charge you and then make it impossible to speak to anyone to get it resolved. I've seen a number of other posts similar to this. How are Fitbit getting away with this? Have had Fitbit for years, but this will certainly be my last.
