Last night - as I often do - I chose a sleep meditation. One that I have done many times before. I fell deep asleep. At 3:10 I woke up - startled! I heard someone say something. I decided that it was a dream. I went back to sleep. At 4:10 I woke up - startled, again! A voice - but couldn't make out what it was saying. I thought I was having auditory hallucinations. Something was wrong! I went back to bed, thinking I am going to have to speak with my doctor. This is not good.
I woke up at 6AM. Staring at the ceiling. at 6:10AM that **ahem** voice announced something like "Sleep deep" and I realized it was the **ahem** fitbit app on my phone!
When and who changed that? I am never going to use those **ahem**able sleep meditations again if this can't be switched off! How do I switch it OFF? ARRRRHHH!

@JimBobBillyBeau Please share the specific meditation. I want to try and reproduce your experience. Need more details.

Relax your mind and muscles for as soothing slumber
I have used this repeatedly for several years. This was just weird!

@JimBobBillyBeau I reproduced your experience, but need a little more experience to see if I can make it stop. I did this while awake, so my sleep wasn't disrupted. I started that meditation, then minimized the screen. It played, then ended. About an hour later, the words "peaceful sleep" came out of my phone -- in the voice of that meditation. I opened my Fitbit app and ended the session. Even tough the audio ended, it kept recording my heart rate trace until I manually left the screen.
We should be able to fall asleep during a sleep promoting meditation and not be bothered by a feature bug.
Weird definitely describes it, but I don't have a clue why a random phrase can come from my phone if the session is over. For now, all I can say is you are not hallucinating. I'm also going to move this thread to the Premium forum. I think it is a better fit for this issue -- these meditations are a premium feature, not specific to a device.

@LZeeW I'm so glad you were able to reproduce that behavior! That's' a relief, because it means it's repeatable. I also did it while awake to make sure it wasn't a one-off. What an odd "feature" to enable (IMHO).
Thank you for reaching out, trying it, and for moving it to the Premium forum!
