Do you provide refunds for Premium?

I know... I am an idiot. I didn't pay attention to when my fitbit premium trial was over and now I just got charged for a years subscription. Is it possible to cancel and get a refund or am I just SOL for the year?

Cheers!

@krispin Welcome back to the Community. Thanks for getting in touch about this.

Premium subscriptions are non-refundable. However, you may want to contact the store that you purchased it from e.g. Google Play Store, sometimes they are able to help you with refunds.

I'll be around if you have any additional questions.

What Fitbit doing here is totally outrageous.   Fitbit hit me with the warmest advertising about the extended trial period for the pandemics.

It never mentioned not able to refund or not able to back out from service.  The premium status is tucked nicely into the app and was soon forgotten because It really does not offer me any value !!  I was notified because my visa was charged from the Google play store.   I immediately notify Fitbit about canceling the plan and Fitbit agreed and given me the story that Google should refund the money.  It turns out that Google was the middle man who collects the money and disperse it to Fitbit.  In this case, of course, Google won't refund me because it is just a middle man.   This took me a while to realize but that was the run-around trouble and confusion that Fitbit made me do.  I am now back to Fitbit and dismay at how this company is doing everything it can to keep the customer money unethically.  Just one scenario that I can see is if you don't back out the service the following year, Fitbit will not refund you because it's not refundable.   This eventually becomes a perpetual subscription.   I guess this shows how comfortable I am with the company.

Can you tell me if I cancel my Fitbit Premium service today will I get the benefit of the remaining 6 months that I've already paid for at least?  My Fitbit is no longer accurate and I'm likely moving to a Samsung or Apple and want to cancel my premium now but if you won't provide a pro rata refund then at least I would hope you'd give me the benefit of using what I've paid for but is essentially worthless since my Ionic is no longer accurate.

@OmNamo Welcome back to the Fitbit Community. Thanks for the details mentioned.

Even when you cancel your Fitbit Premium, your Premium content on the app will expire once the 6 months are done. In regards to your Ionic  accuracy, you may want to check out this article about Fitbit device's accuracy.

Also, I was able to see that you've been in contact with our Support team, if you have any additional question about it, you can contact them back.

Hope this helps.

I have already complained about this but we get no advance warning or reminder about the annual subscription being taken out so you make it here difficult.

Folks if you sign up for annual I suggest you immediately cancel it so as not to have it automatically taken out the next year. You can then resubscribe when it expires

Canceled my subscription but still got charged $79. Google is just the middleman so I can’t get my money back from them, and Fitbit says no refund. So, to re-cap, I have a broken useless Fitbit that I haven’t used in 8 months, a canceled subscription that I can’t get refunded for, and absolutely no help from this horrible company. **ahem** FITBIT
