Free trial of premium not available

Hello

I have seen that fitbit is offering a free trial of its premium service. I just got my fitbit charge 4 yesterday and never used fitbit before. When I click on "premium", it does not offer me the free trial but a charged plan from day 1. I am located in Swirzerland.

Is the offer not available in my region? If it is, what can I do to benefit from it?

Thanks

@mmiri77 A warm welcome to the Community. Thanks for getting in touch about this.

I appreciate that you mentioned you're new to Fitbit family. In order to activate the free Premium trial, you need to have your Fitbit app in English because Fitbit Premium is available worldwide in English only. Can you confirm that your app is set to English?

Looking forward to hearing back from you.

Hi Silvia

I confirm that my fitbit is in English.  I had to uninstall and reinstall the app at set up, thinking maybe that affected the offer given.

Any ideas as to what I can do to get the offer?

Thanks

I have the same problem too! I live in Greece and I haven't used premium fitbit ever. But the free trial isn't available! I really wanted to try out the guided program but now I don't know if I should spend 10€ just to see if it's any good... I contacted Fitbit support and I am waiting for an answer... Let's hope they'll respond to my email soon...

Hi Silvia

2 persons from different countries are having the same issue, as you can see in the post chain. Clearly this is a problem that is not a one off or related to my case only. Can you please provide us with a solution.

Thanks and Regards

 Hello @SilviaFitbit ,

This is surpising me. That means that people whose app is set to French (which is my case) cannot enjoy free trial?

I was just asking the french-speaking Community what was the difference between "Fitbit coach" and "Fitbit premium" because the website is not clear at all, especially for people located in Belgium (Belgian website is only available in English)

Can I set my app into English to enjoy free premium trial and then cancel within 90 days? Will this allow me to have an idea of the advantages of the upgrade "Fitbit coach"?

Thanks

@mmiri77 @SunsetRunner Hey there. Thanks for letting me know that you're Europe and unable to access the 90-day trial. In this case, I've shared your post with our Support team and someone will reply to you as soon as possible. Keep in mind that due to recent events affecting our operations, we may take a bit longer to get back to you.

@Dimitris18 Welcome to the Community. Thanks for letting me know that you've contacted our Support team, please continue the communication through email.

@Aurélie_9 It's great to see you on the Fitbit Community. Fitbit Premium is available worldwide in English only. If your app is in another language, you could take advantage of the 90-day free trial of the Fitbit Coach app

If you change your Fitbit app to English, you should have access to the 90-day trial. You could check this article for more information about the features that you'll get if you subscribe to Fitbit Premium

I'll be around if you have any additional questions.

@SilviaFitbit Support replied to me telling me that they didn't find any premium account with my email. I corrected them and explained again my situation but it's been 2 days + a few hours but still no answer. Can you connect me to the support too and explain them my problem with the None existence of the 3 month free trial? (Also I speak Greek and English so my FitBit App is definitely in English😅 I was able to see the offer before but now I can't)

Alright I came to contact with the Fitbit Support and if you don't see the 3 month trial for fitbit Premium (like my case that there is 20% discount on the first month of my trial) it means: "If you do not see it anymore that means the offer is not up for your country at the time." (That were their exact words) I hope Fitbit decides to return the free trial for my country (and the rest that don't have it anymore) because after all the USA has it, along with other countries in the world.(it seems a bit unfair to us...but all I can do is hope that they will change their mind and give us the trial once more)

Hi Dimitris18

In my case I also had the 20% discount message. Support put me themselves
on the 3 months trial, modified my profile at their end. Maybe you can
request that they do that for you too.
