Hi @curki. Thanks for calling this out. That's the first I am hearing of this specific issue. I would make sure your Fitbit app and the payment information associated with your Google account are up to date.

Alternatively, you could purchase your Premium subscription through fitbit.com. Hope this helps!

I’m sorry, I don’t consider an offer that I must enter a cc and remember to cancel a FREE offer.  I was excited to see this as I’ve been a Fitbit user since it’s first product.  However, I will never do any trial that require a cc and cancelling.  I’ll stick with my totally free peloton and planet fitness apps,

Hello,

I just saw this - thank you for doing it, it will be helpful!

Quick question: do you know or have any expectations as to how long the 90-day offer will be valid for (ie until when we will be able to join the Premium trial and start the 90-day countdown)?

Thank you in advance.

Hi,

Can purchase fitbit premium and get the 90 day trial WITHOUT using google play (fitbit.com perhaps?).  Love fitbit but can't stand google play and don't purchase anything through google play.

I have seen the list of 40 "free" items in my app under the Discover tab. For the "Free At-Home Workouts," some say "Watch Video" and will play, while others say "Try Premium" and will not play--all are in the list of 40 items. How are these "free for all" if I do not qualify for the new 90-day premium trial?!

@painterfam It's nice to see you on the Community. The free trial for Fitbit Premium is for customers who haven't previously activated a free trial for Fitbit Premium. You're free to cancel it anytime before the 90-day trial if you don't decide to subscribe.

@TKos Welcome to the Community. At the moment, I don't know until when this offer will be valid. However, you may want to take a look at the Fitbit Blog for any news about it. In the meantime, you may want to subscribe and check it out.

@amsterdam71 It's nice to see you on the Community. I appreciate that you mentioned you wouldn't want to subscribe using Google Play Store. The Free trial is only available through the app and you could subscribe using Google Play or App Store. If you wish to avoid using Google Play Store, you could do it through Fitbit.com store but the Free Trial won't be available.

Hi but I already have paid for my yearly Fitbit coach subscription. Does that mean I have to pay for Fitbit premium in addition to the coach subscription to get the premium features? I had them all until yesterday. What is the problem?

@SCH-1977 A warm welcome to the Community. Thanks for getting in touch about this.

Fitbit Premium is available for worldwide in English only. Instead, Fitbit Coach is available in English, Spanish, French, German and Portuguese.

In countries where Premium isn't available, users still have the opportunity to subscribe to Coach. However, if you have Premium available then you'll have Coach too. You can double check if you have access to Premium by doing the following:

  1. Go to your Fitbit app
  2. Tap on Discover > Choose a guided program or Challenge

Hi Sylvia,
Thanks for the response but I’m not sure my problem is clear.
I am an English speaking person and I have no problem with English. My issue is that until yesterday. I had all the premium features in my Fitbit app and now I don’t have them anymore although I still have my Fitbit coach premium subscription.
For example, if I go to my Fitbit coach app, I can access all the videos but if I go to one of the guided programmes in my Fitbit app, then in the past, when I clicked on the programme it sent me to my Fitbit coach app and now I just get a message saying « try premium » and Offering me a 90 day trial.
So if nothing has changed, what am I supposed to do to go back to how things were?
Thanks!

I would be willing to give premium a try but not if I have to give fitbit my credit card. I don't consider this a "free trial" but a marketing gimmick. FB hopes that people forget to cancel before the end of the trial. At this point, I don't really care about any of the Premium content "available for free" or most of the other offerings, although that could change if I had the 90 day FREE trial with no credit card or long term commitment. I am primarily interested in the additional sleep insights and other analysis of MY DATA which should already be part of the basic app. That's why I bought a fitbit watch! Also, since premium requires some time to evaluate, anyone who signed up for the totally inadequate 7 day trial, should be eligible for the 90 day trial. Fitbit says this is supporting the fitbit community during covid. For that to be true, no credit card should be required and analysis of personal data should not be behind a pay wall.
