Hey, my Charge 5 arrived and I've done the set up but at the premium window I wasn't offered the free trial, only the paid options. I have nothing in my email, and no discount code slip on the box. How do I activate my free trial?

@Wayoung Hi there. Thanks for the details mentioned.
I appreciate the research done prior to posting. I'd like you to ensure that you're not a Premium subscriber at the moment, then confirm you're following this procedure to start your free trial:
Hope this helps.

Hi I also have this problem and this unfortunately doesn’t help as it’s only paid options that you receive .
I look forward to finding the solution as this seems to be a issue many people are finding

I’ve finally figured it out you need to go onto the premium and when it asks how you want to pay choose annually or monthly . When you go into the next page it tells you that you have 6 months free first and then will proceed into payments

Just for future reference, I'd recommend starting your post by mentioning that nothing about a free trial will be mentioned until the very last step, when you are asked to confirm payment. I do see that you sort of alluded to this in step 3 of your instructions. However, I think what is bringing most people here is confusion over how to activate the free trial, and it is impossible to find that out without going through the almost the entire process of subscribing to a premium membership as if the trial didn't exist and you were going to be charged full price immediately. Many people will understandably be wary of even trying this option as they might be worried that they will be charged at any point. Something to consider.

This is a super poor user experience. There’s no indication that the trial is free on the iPhone. It looks like you get charged and there’s no way to look up the free trial information.

Agreed!
How is it Free if my cc info is required?
That is not free. Dishonesty upon first interaction with this company certainly doesn't encourage me to trust them with my cc info!

Hi there, @Fitsybitsy1. @ConejoAleman Welcome to the community.
Thanks for taking the time to share your thoughts. Just to clarify, if there is a free trial available for you, the Fitbit app will prompt a banner so you can take advantage of that offer. And while it'll require you to enter your payment method, you can always cancel your subscription from the Fitbit app or through your phone's app store before the subscription period ends to prevent future charges. Please check this help article for more information about Premium.
