In order to redeem the free trial, it's necessary for the system to access it, that you choose one of those two options: either the 6-month plan or the yearly option. Once you have chosen one, it would request your credit information, and it would give you the option to start the free trial.
The thing you need to keep in mind is that you have to cancel the subscription before the trial ends. If you don't do that, the auto-renewed plan will make the purchase automatically for the option you choose today.
