How long does the app store data if you don't use premium?

I was looking at an Inspire 3 and a Youtube reviewer mentioned that if you don't take out premium the app will only store data for 7 days but I've never seen that mentioned anywhere else. I think he may be getting confused with the 5-7 day store time on the device locally but I just wanted to confirm that without premium the basic data is stored permanently on the app?

Premium makes no difference here.  Once the data has been synced, it is on the main Fitbit database stored under your Fitbit ID/email; I am not aware of any time limit there unless perhaps if you intentionally request to erase all your data.

On the other hand, before you sync, say if you are off the grid, locally on your tracker it will store about one week of detailed data, then switch to storing summary data until it can sync stored data to main database; not sure of the amount of summary data but think that is just limited by local storage space on tracker.

Before posting, re-read to see if it would make sense to someone else not looking at your Fitbit or phone.

Thanks, I suspected that was the case.
