Please tell me how I can change from the Premium monthly fee of $9.99 to the Premium annual fee of $79.99.

I am writing this as I was told by customer service this was the only way to voice my concerns. I ordered a Charge and within about 7 month it broke (issue with the band holder. I contacted customer service and they sent me a replacement for free as it was under warranty (this took about a week). From there when I received the replacement it was the wrong color, had multiple scratches, and a white glue substance I was unable to remove. So I contacted customer service they agreed to send another replacement once i sent back the new replacement (this process is going to take another 2-3 week depending on mailing and how fast they are to get me another one). So with this said I am looking at about 3-4 weeks without my fitbi; for something I did not do to mess up my Fitbit but was an error with fitbit manufacturing. So I kindly asked if I could have a refund for this month’s premium subscription they stated no. Then when I asked how to voice a complaint they just stated I could on the community page. I find this very unhelpful and bad protocol for a well known business to engage in. I would be cautious about purchasing anything with premium subscription.

I have a promo code for 1 year premium and it says in the basket that it works. But I do not get a 1 year subscription. Has tried to communicate with Fitbit support but gets no sensible answer. Have tried it with both 1 month and 1 year premium without success.
How to solve this?

They do this because they want to auto-renew your subscription to the $9.99 a month plan when it expires a year from now. I have canceled my plan after being charged (scammed) for 3 months and I didn't know about it. I actually chatted and asked them to convert me to an annual plan... they couldn't.. they would rather lose a paying customer to what amounted to about $12 in excessive and what should be illegal charges...

I bought an inspire 2 to replace my old Fitbit, and after signing up for the 1 year free Premium, I checked my Apple subscriptions, and found I was charged $9.99. Customer service said that I should have cancelled my previous premium subscription, and that’s why I was charged for a month. They said this requirement was stated on their website and was public knowledge. They would not refund the $9.98, and told me to cancel the premium subscription now and I would get the free year subscription in a month.
l did cancel my previous free trial, which ended over a year ago, because I was never charged anything.
I didn’t sign up on their website, but from the app, which doesn’t mention cancelling any previous subscription.
They refuse to refund the $9.99 charge—a charge that clearly stated would be $0.00
I know full well if I try to activate my year’s free premium subscription in a month, that I’ll just be charged another $9.99

This is ridiculous. I purchased an inspire 2 and it was supposed to come with a 1year free premium. THen they say it is Apples fault. They do not know how to handle customer service. They keep handing you off to someone else and put the blame on someone else instead of saying "Let Me Take Care of That For You". OMG. utter foolishness
-----------
That is another lie. They tell you to sign up and then cancel before it renews. No New Free Premium. It is all lies. No wonder Google bought them.
-----------
Fuzzy-Rabbit. They (FITBIT) want you to do what the employees say and that's how they get more money. Then they blame it on someone
else so they don't have to refund you and take a loss. I am fighting for $88 from them now.

I signed up for the free trial when I received my new fit bit charge 5. After 6 months, I canceled the subscription and now cannot seem to stop Fitbit from charging me. There seems to be no clear mechanism to reconcile this after being on the phone and websites for multiple hours. Please beware.

I have been unable to identify where on their app or website how even to see what credit card I have on file with them. Seems like they do not provide this along with invoices of monthly charges. I have requested a stop payment with my credit card, but was just billed another month in the interim. Anyone else have this issue?

Inspire 2 have free 1 year premium trial, is that mean I have to select 1 year subscription or 1 month as there’s only 2 choices. Does that mean I have subscript (paid) in order to have FREE trial?

From my experience 13 months ago.
I chose one year and gave them access to my PayPal which meant when the year was up they can take out a monthly fee.
The year came and went and they took the monthly fee out. I had expected to be informed first.

I followed all the steps you described to get my free premium subscription, but it says: " You're not eligible for the free trial "
I just bought this fitbit Inspire 2, off of Amazon, on August 26, 2022, and with it it did say I would get 1 year free subscription. So why is it I can't get it?

This is a Fitbit promotion not an Amazon promotion. Amazon just list all the features that come with the purchase of a Fitbit.
I guess I will have to get of Fitbit directly.
Thank you.

BUYER BEWARE!!!! If you are subscribing for the trial for two users (ie: husband and wife: friends: etc.) do NOT use the same payment method. Fitbit will immediately charge the second user. I learned this the hard way. Now neither Fitbit nor Google Play will not refund the amount billed for the second user. I have exchange many, many email messages and get the same answer each time (We want to let you know the Fitbit premium subscription is not refundable as you can see it through fitbit.com).
I have been a Fitbit user for many, many years. But I now have let the battery die and will no longer be a user.....
