I have been a long time user, had at least 3 different fitbit models, and I just got the sense. It said it came with 6 months of fitbit premium. The watch is registered to my account, yet no premium. How can that be enabled?

You have 60 days after purchase to sign up for premium.
There now is a link in the store to sign up and the app should have given an option, a few days after registering the sense.
Now you may want to contact fitbit.
