I don't understand how this happened. I purchased a new Charge 4 on 4/15/21 and after using it a couple of days clicked on the offer in the app for three free months of Premium. After that, I as prompted to choose monthly or yearly, and now that I check my credit card statement I was charged for the Premium service by apple.
I feel tricked and a bit worried that the $50 rebate will never come either. (Particularly as it was advertised sneakily as $50 off in all the normal size print in the email, only in small print did it mention the rebate and somewhat arcane procedure to apply for it.)

@TacoT Welcome to the Fitbit Community. Thanks for the detailed information shared.
I see where your disappointment is coming from. Note that the Fitbit Premium trial is available for new users only, if you have never signed up for a trial before, get in touch with our Support team, they'll be happy to help you.
Hope this helps.

This should be made much more clear in the publicly advertised offers. I also don't think the app itself, with my personal info, should be serving me an ad for three months of free Premium if I am not eligible for it--it certainly could communicate to apple that I was to be charged for it. Are any of the Premium features device specific? I would have thought buying a new device would be worth a Premium trial, even if I had tried before (and not been impressed with any of the coach features).
This trickery in advertising, the advertising of SpO2 before it was available, and the ownership by google have really made me lose my trust in fitbit.

@TacoT Thank you for getting back. Your feedback and comments are appreciated, we're always striving to improve our services offered.
The breakdown of the stress score management is the only feature that is part of Premium and that is available to specific Fitbit devices. Note that in Fitbit Premium you have Guided Programs, personalized insights, Premium Challenges and Mindfulness sessions.
Hope this helps.
