I was charged for the Premium free trial

The Fitbit App offered me a 90-day free trial for Premium and charged me. Now, they don’t provide any help and said I must figure it out with Apple... Which makes no sense as I am a Fitbit customer! Very poor customer service. I’m disappointed!

That happened to me this morning! With exactly the same result as you - they’ve charged me already, £79.99 and I done even get a free trial. On the live chat they said I have to go to Apple, but because it’s been logged as an annual,subscription, all I can do Is cancel the next payment in a years time!! I’m so cross, I had to subscribe in order to get the free trial, now they won’t refund me! This is outrageous, I’m fuming!

If a trial has been activated before, this could be the reason why you were charged. In this case, you may want to follow the advise given by our Support team.

Fortunately I’ve just received a message from Apple that they will refund me, but I still feel the info re the free trial was very misleading. I certainly won’t be going for anything like that again 😳

They did the same thing to me. Said 90 days and they charged me for the year. I am keeping it I think, I have not decided. I only use the premium for the health analysis and I am not sure it is worth it. I just feel like I've been robbed. My grandson has it too. I need to ask him if they did it to him. If so I am going to tell him to cancel it.

How did you get them to refund you?  I signed up for the same free trial and was also charged for a full year.

What a Lame generic canned response to a legitimate concern about misleading statements in Fitbit products. Your company makes it intentionally burdensome and difficult to manage and update your personal account i.e. your ability to change payment options and membership level. This is a very easy software solution, and it has been avoided by FitBit because the harder it is for People to manage their accounts and cancel premium memberships the more money you can make through people just giving up and not trying !!!! Very shameful and deceptive practices I intend to make a report to the Better Business Bureau and get your rating dropped as fast as I can.. such a shame, because the product is great.
