Hi Fitbit,

May I just voice my disappointment with the fact that you make Sleeping Heart Rate and Restlessness a paid feature now! This is a gross business practice. What's next, I'll have to pay to track activities or access my daily heart rate logs? Fair enough that the access to extra features such as workouts is extra, but sleep tracking is standard feature of Fitbit. Outrageous.

My wife and I are also done with Fitbit. No way in hell am I paying a cent to see data generated by my own body. I have had it begging and pleading asking nicely and spelling out my displeasure only to get the same bs answers from fitbit over and over and over. I am actually of the opinion the answers we are getting from moderators is automated. I also believe that this forum isn't monitored by fitbit staff at all. I am also 100% convinced that Fitbit as a company only cares about the money they can bleed out of their clients instead of the service offered to their clients. The above has convinced me that paying more for a Garmin unit is the way to go. So from my side Fitbit has already lost 2 customers. Once our fitbits are dead we are moving over.

@SunsetRunner @Gainn it's not the first time that Fitbit is trying to "solve" this topic by selecting one of their generic answers as a solution. It is most likely that it was Fitbit admin who marked their answer as "best". Since I obviously agree with you I have changed this topic back to being unsolved.

I love how fitbit keep trying to choose their own comment as the solution whilst continuing to ignore and talk around the fact that Sleeping Heart Rate... Which was free before... Is now locked behind a premium subscription.

That is a really bad corporate answer. In brief you let your customers down.....

I should have bought the charge 2 instead.

Next time, in one month I buy Garmin.

I can only see time asleep and a score. I cannot tap on this to get more information

You explained my frustration to a T.   I have tried and whoever keeps answering me seems to refuse to understand this.    If enough of us complain maybe they will bring it back and make it the standard feature.    I too and very disappointed.

Fitbit already collects and uses our data for free,  they should at least give us the data options without the $10 per month fees.

I posted this screen in one of the other threads about sleep score but it seems relevant here too.

The score is pretty meaningless when you get numbers like this showing up.

Totally makes sense, eh?

Suddenly a few days ago the detailed sleep information has reappeared. I wonder if this is a mistake and they will take it away again 🤷🏼‍:female_sign:. I hope not

I checked detail sleep after reading your post, but sadly, mine is not there. I'm really disappointed with Fitbit (Google) for the RIP off charging users......IT'S OUR DATA they get for free.  I'll switch to another device soon.

This was done long before Google's acquisition of Fitbit, as can be seen by the dates of posts months ago.

I posted a really nice post regarding what device I am looking at but the post wasn't allowed just FYI.

Exactly! Finally got a good night's sleep, wanted to check exact amount, and my sleep tab is gone! How dare you, Fitbit Google! You are a thief!!!

I bought the $200 Versa last year because of promised updates (like spo2) which never materialized.  better sleep analysis which is a main selling point of the products should never be "premiumed".  You buy a product like this because you EXPECT updates that improved in CORE functions.  I could care less about Coach stuff, i just want the proper sleep functions...........

GARMIN here i come...........

@SunsetRunner it's disappointing that new features are released as premium ones while the core functionality is not improved and bugs are not fixed. I've got Charge 3 and since I purchased it about 6 months ago, there is a bug with syncing sleep stats to the band. The band tracks sleep and I can see it in the app but the band displays "Sleep not tracked". The issue is known to Fitbit, but there is no ETA on the fix - of course. Somehow, Fitbit thinks it's a better idea to introduce new sleep stats but make users pay extra for them instead of making sure the functionality already in place works as intended.

I came here to finally voice my own discontent with the way Fitbit had handled this. And seeing their anemic response to this burning issue only confirms to me that they have no intention of coming clean or rectifying this obvious cash grab.

The condescending way in which the moderators answer a direct question with ambiguous answers that only obliquely graze the actual topic is pretty par for the course at this point. This is not the moderators fault.

Fitbit. You have lost touch with your customer base and it shows. You are about to disenfranchise a large group of people. Especially the ones that didn't bother to come here to say anything because they are just over it.

I bought the Fitbit for a singular purpose. I have refrained from subscribing to your premium services because of it's lack of relevance to me. Amputating features from the app and cryogenically freezing them in stasis behind a paywall is just underhanded business. Perhaps next time, if you are given that chance by the benevolence of your customer base, you can approach us and ask us what we look for in a premium service; Then perhaps you wouldn't have to stoop to measures like holding features for ransom.

I was thinking of buying fitbit versa 2. But now I won't.

Moderators are obviously deleting messages on this thread. I keep getting emails for responses that I can see are no longer here.

My name can be added to the list of people that are disappointed that a subscription is now required for the "Premium Service "info obtained thru the re-designed app. I guess we should have seen it coming, big business.... Now I'm not sure I want to purchase one for my daughter for Christmas. I'm guessing Fitbit has calculated loss of watch sales vs income from subscription sales. I still like my Fitbit and my wife likes hers...We will just have to see how this goes....Maybe it's worth adjusting but we have no interest in paying for a subscription for our personal information.
