Premium subscription extension for defective devices

I recently purchased my 5th or 6th Fitbit so I obviously like the product, however my new Sense died and since it is under warranty I will be getting a new charger in 7-10 business days which I hope resolves the issue.  I had requested my Premium subscription extended since I am unable to use my Sense and I was told no.  They offer free trials but are unwilling to extend for a defective device?  Doesn't make sense and now I will be using my Apple Watch instead.

That would be a decision made by fitbit @pjburns

You say that you are getting a new Charger, I assume it is the Charge. 4 or Charge 5 tracker and not a Charging cord.

This tracker should come with its own premium trial.

I have also moved your premium question out of hardware support.
