Switched FItbits during Premium Trial

Started free trial of Fitbit Premium and then my 2 yr old Charge5 battery died. Reached out to support /but had to replace--no warranty. Does my Premium trail start new with the new purchase--upgrade to Charge 6?

From the Fitbit help page about Premium subscription

If the Fitbit device you purchased indicates that it includes a trial to Fitbit Premium, but you are currently a Fitbit Premium member, then you must cancel your Premium subscription in order to be able to activate the trial. About 1-3 days after your canceled subscription expires, you’ll see an offer in the Fitbit app to begin the trial. Your premium is connected with your fitbit account. If you are in the middle of a free trial, you will want to cancel premium. However, premium will still continue until the 6 months are up. Then at this time, you should be able to start a free trial of premium
