Hello I have tried numerous times to activate my one year free trial of fitbit premium as was sold to me with the inspire 2, I'm a brand new customer but it gives me a message about my bank card but have verified with my bank that there's no issues on their end. Can someone help me please?

@Ais90 Welcome to the Fitbit Community. Thanks for checking with your bank prior to posting.

The Inspire 2 comes with a 1 year free Premium trial. I'd like you to confirm you're doing the following to activate it:

  1. Tap the Premium tab.
  2. Read the overview, and tap the button to get started.
  3. Choose a 1-year or monthly subscription to start after your trial, and follow the instructions to subscribe.

If you're but you're still receiving this error message, let me know the specific message you're getting.

Hope this helps.

Hey, yeah I've tried to activate it through the premium tab, it only gives one option which is to renew on a monthly basis after the years trial expires. It asks for my password etc then and the message is " cannot verify this card with your bank. Try again or contact your bank if this issue persists. [OR-PMSA-35]. I have been able to make purchases through the Google store with the same details so I cannot understand why it isn't working here.

@Ais90 Thank you for getting back. I appreciate that you shared the error message that you're getting.

It seems to be an issue related to the card, I found this article on Google Pay, on the things that you can do to verify your payment method. If you're still getting this message after the mentioned above, contact Google Play store for additional steps.

Hope this helps.

I don't have Google pay set up nor do I think I should need to to get a free trial that I've paid for. I will contact my bank again but as I've already said I've used that card through the Google play store and its had no issues there

Update.

I have been in contact with both Google and my bank. My bank informations is that they have approved every authentication payment the 14 times I have tried to activate the free trial. Google informs me there are no issues with details on my account. This has to be an issue on fitbits side and I'm honestly very disappointed. I bought this watch with a free trial but haven't been able to use it. I have been sent on a goose chase round different companies trying to sort this issue out and it just makes me want to return the whole thing. I'm very unhappy that a simple free trial is not a simple free trial. Will not be recommending this to anyone else.
