Unable to share/cast Premium workouts to TV

Hi,

I have found out this morning, the screen share/cast option is not available from the exercise videos anymore.

I still can cast using the phone in-built feature, but in much lower quality and not as convenient.

I have Pixel 7 phone.

Why is this feature is not available anymore? The app's log does not state it was removed.

Thanks

Laszlo

Is a subscription by les miles good? I've been considering it for a while now.

I really like it the exercises made by les Miles so I didn't like it at all that Google also remove them ftom the app.

Best Answer

Absolutely worth it, they use Les Mills in health clubs. So many types of workouts for every level of fitness. Also lets you choose the amount of time for the workout. You can use on 3 different devices included in the price and right now it's discounted.

Best Answer

Is it one profile or can you make more profiles?

Best Answer

It's 1 profile but 3 devices can use the same profile.

Thanks fir letting me know!

I really miss those workouts

Thanks for the update Lizzie. I notice that removing posts (that suggest alternative courses of action by users) happens pretty quickly and doesn't involve any lengthy investigation.  It's a shame that returning a feature that subscribers paid for isn't dealt with by your company as expediently.

Update! Here's the official response from Fitbit support:

"Hello Danielle,

Thanks for reaching out to the Fitbit Customer Care Team.

I am afraid to tell you that the feature that allowed you to stream the videos from the app was removed, we apologize for the inconvenience."

I'm hoping enough people will complain about it and they will re-enable the streaming feature.

However I'm not waiting indefinitely. If the feature isn't re-enabled in 30 days, I'm out! That would be very disappointing as I've been extremely loyal to the Fitbit brand over the years. However, that loyalty should be given to a brand that listens to their customers and delivers the types of features and content we value.

I'm also giving the app a one-star rating on the Google Play store because of this most recent update.

Several days have passed since your last update.

Members are still without this basic functionality which is a straightforward fix of reinstating the Casting ability via an app update...as it was very easily removed from the update from 4.30 to 4.32.

The answers have been handed to you on a plate yet any updates from yourself have been entirely devoid of any tangibly useful information.

Please explain exactly what you are doing in order to have this situation resolved. You should be pushing for an answer everyday until this is finalised. Not just simply stating you don't have a time frame for getting something so basic sorted out.

Right?! How are we supposed to follow a workout from a phone screen? There's no point in continuing to pay for premium if this isn't fixed ASAP!

Another day goes by...still no answers to this mind boggling simple problem.

Exactly what is going on? Why is there no update? Why has this not been fixed?

Best Answer
Still works on iOS, which makes it even more annoying.

And now we're well over a month since this problem was reported, yet still no updates despite this forum having handed you the answers on a plate.

So I will ask again;

Exactly what is going on? Why is there no update? Why has this not been fixed? What exactly are you doing to resolve this issue?

Looking forward to being ignored yet again.

I am very happy to say that with the latest Fitbit app update, casting functionality is back! I was able to use it on my TV over the weekend. Just wanted to share and see if casting functionality is back for anyone else here.

BTW I tried to post the exact version number but, the forum blocked me said "The message body contains ##########, which is not permitted in this community."

Anyways it's version 4.35 plus a lot of digits.

It's back on my phone as well! Looks like all our petitioning worked and commonsense prevailed! Great news!

Thank you for everyone raising their concern here. It took a bit of time to have this functionality back but we have it at the end.

Also, thank you to @LizzyFitbit to raise this issue with the development team.

Not on my phone yet but my wife has the update. Hopefully I'll get it soon. Thanks to @LizzyFitbit for helping it happen.
