What’s the point of Fitbit Premium?

I have had Fitbit Premium for about 3/5 months but it’s not that impressive to me. Are there any highlights of Fitbit Premium that I might not be taking advantage of? What are it’s highlights?

Have you looked at the Wellness Report?

To get Wellness Report, from phone 'Today' page, tap 'Discover' at bottom left > 'Health & Fitness Stats' > 'Wellness Reports'.

Viewing it is not quite that simple, unfortunately.  After getting message that report is ready (almost immediately for me), tap 'View'.  Then you get a choice of 'Download PDF' or 'Share'.  What I do is select 'Share', then 'Email' then email it to myself.  It comes as an email attachment which I then save to my PC.

Or alternatively if you 'Download PDF', it downloads it to your phone, and you can do what you want with it from there.

Something else with Premium I don't know if you have noticed, is several new 'Guided Programs' available only to Premium, found from 'Discover' > 'Guided Programs'.

Here is another overview of the Premium features in the Fitbit Blog:

Honestly no I don't think it's worth the money for the current package.

What's good?

The sleep score info. But really this should be available free. It's one of Fitbits very key features over the competition. To lock it away and make users pay for the insights is madness.

The Guided Programs are ok. But there's faults in them (like the mindfulness audios stopping when your phone goes to sleep), and they don't seem to be being added to so there's limited choice once you've done the few that interest you.

Wellness Report? Meh. done it once. Is it truly useful to take a report to dr that shows how many steps, sleep you do? Certainly not worth paying for. You have that info. That's why you bought the device.

Bad?

Workouts are just videos from other content providers. No interactivity. The kind of stuff available for free on Youtube.

Same with Mindfullness. Just a selection of audio videos from other providers. No programs or guides.

And the separate Fitbit Coach app I've found useless compared to other, free apps. The workouts just play through. Even rep based workouts just play through irrespective on whether I've reached the number of reps or not.

There's far, far better paid workout packages out there. And better for FREE. It's just a shame that Fitbit are missing the opportunity to create something really great for their users and tie them in further to the ecosystem. Ultimately having bought the devices, the free content needs enhancing, let alone a paid package.

The current Premium package isn't worth the money. Not close.

AND SLEEP STATS SHOULD BE FREE TO ALL USERS!

I've been a Fitbit user for quite awhile now. I just bought myself a Versa Lite to replace my Alta HR. I went in to look at reviews of premium and to see what premium gives you. I really wanted to talk myself into it. But it just doesn't look worth it. $9.99 is too much for what they offer. I can get Disney Plus for $6.99 and watch that while I exercise and get a lot more out of it. Lol.

Before I will join and pay that much, they need to offer more. I would like a more detailed report on my eating habits. The sleeping is nice. Workout plans that fit the individual. I do like competitive events, like my fitness pal has for free. They should maybe do some surveys and see what people really want and how they use it.

I think that's the kicker for why anyone would want it and why anyone wouldn't want it. All of this stuff is available on various apps for free. But if Fitbit can give them to you in one place and actually utilize the information effectively, then it would become worth it.

Right now it's worth may $2.99 a month, $4.99 if they clean it up and add a couple things. $9.99, overhaul and add the coaching.
