Hello,
I cancelled the FB Premium Subscriptions because I heard about this:
"How to activate the 1-year free trial of Fitbit Premium on Inspire 2."
Free trial for a year?! I got 90 days. I am out.
Also, concerned about privacy.
FB is part of Google and the days of "do no evil are gone". Google is making piles of $$$ off my data, why not just let me have it? Or maybe they are getting it anyhow? This also goes hand and hand with cost.
What is Google's long term plan for FB with Google anyhow? Google already has competing apps.
Standardization - what do these health stats even mean? For trending it makes sense, if these devices are accurate. Mentioned it to a few docs and they see little value in this info as it not compatible with their info and systems
The info - none of it was really useful. Skin temp? Oxygen saturation. Not a lot of use.
Overall, I just don't see any extra value to my life right now.
I am active, but not an athlete whose livelihood depends on performance.
Question for 'regular' people with the subscription.
What benefits do you see with FitBit Premium vs without?
Please feel free to help enlighten me if I am wrong about some of the things I mentioned.
Thanks,
V

Definitely not enough benefit to warrant $10/month ($120/yr). I'd love to know what my sleeping heart rate is and how restless I slept but not at that price!

@SunsetRunner and @Veepo Hi there.
Thank you for your feedback, this helps us to continue improving our services offered. Be sure that features are implemented based in users' comments and the Fitbit Community is a big part of that process.
Take into consideration that the Fitbit Premium is your personalized resource in the Fitbit app that helps you stay active, sleep well, manage stress, and more.
@Veepo With the purchase of Inspire 2, 1 year Premium trial is available. It sounds like the free trial was activated and you should still have access to the 1 year Premium trial. I'd like you to make sure that it has been cancelled and within 1-3 days, you'll receive the invitation to activate the trial.
Last but not least, feel free to post any ideas you have on how to improve the Fitbit Premium, in our Feature Suggestion board, those are reviewed by our team and the status will change depending on Fitbit plans.
Hope this helps.

I bought the year subscription for $79.99, but had issues with it not working that have now been resolved. I also thought that $10 a month is too much, and I am not so sure I will resubscribe when the year I paid for is up. I agree with you about privacy concerns. This really hit me when I used the snore report function (that I have since turned off), I now know that I don’t snore and can confidently point to my dog and husband as the noisy ones, but realized that I don’t know what they do with that data and if the recordings are saved 😬. I don’t even think I would trust the official answer, since data is a valuable commodity for these companies, and we know Amazon lied about recordings. I don’t spend much time on social media and don’t like to buy lots of “stuff,” but it is crazy how effective target marketing can be even on someone like me. No wonder misinformation campaigns are so successful! They can categorize us in ways we never imagined 🤦🏻:female_sign:
I currently use the premium features to analyze my sleep, because that’s where I seem to have problems. Trying to figure out patterns about how exercise impacts my sleep to tweak timing and other habits that might interfere with great rest. Sometimes my HR is 100% below my resting rate, sometimes it is 100% above, and I still haven’t been able to find the causal link yet. Or even a trend. My skin temperature also is kind of all over the place, so I’m not sure if that feature is actually useful or not. I almost want to enter the data into a spreadsheet to find patterns that the app doesn’t look for. If I plateau in improving, I probably will do just that. I think part of what drew me in was that the information I was analyzing about my sleep was hidden without premium, so it instantly seems more valuable (even if it is not). Since I haven’t found all of the personal trends for myself, I don’t really know.
I think oxygen saturation is helpful for people who might have sleep apnea to know to pursue a diagnosis with a formal sleep study. And for people who use a CPAP to see if their setting may need adjustment. But I don’t think they are allowed to market it like that. And it doesn’t do a thing for me, since I don’t have sleep apnea.
I am considering trying some of the premium guided content, but I just joined a fitness class that has me sore and tired all the time, and it seems like too much all at once for now. Maybe in December.
Overall, I just have sleep issues, and if I didn’t, I wouldn’t see the point of paying for a subscription at all. I still have my not smart watch, and hopefully I can get my sleep straight and get fit, and go back to wearing it one day.
