It's so wrong for Fitbit to us an account that had expired to renew their premium membership. Then Fitbit won't let you cancel it for a whole year. What a rip off. Looks like Fitbit has lost a loyal customer. One of the first customers they had. I'm going to Apple.

Hello there @tzvancourt, welcome to the Community.
I'm sorry to read you are having a bad time with Fitbit Premium.
Let me explain that in fact, you are able to cancel the subscription at any time during your membership. What happens is that we give our customers the option to cancel the subscription but without losing the Premium features. That means that once you cancel the subscription you will keep all the features.

Basically, you cancel premium so that you will not get renewed, however your current membership with premium continues until it expires.
