I’m thinking of upgrading to a charge 5. Will the 6 month premium be added to my existing premium membership when I upgrade?

If I remember everything correctly you are only eligible for those free trials if you don't already have Premium. Also there is a chance that if you once had Premium you might not be able to get it. Also if you do not have Premium and you pre order a Fitbit device the free premium period will start when you have placed the order (even if you do not yet have a Fitbit device). So your milage may vary and really depends on the status of your Fitbit account and its history.

Take into consideration that if you're a Premium member, you need to cancel your subscription and within 1-3 days, you'll receive the invitation to activate the Premium trial that comes with your Charge 5.
