OK so seriously cannot find any information anywhere. If I create a family on the fitbit dashboard and have fitbit premium would everyone in that family group, children and guardians, be able to use the premium features. As paying out for premium for several people in the family can get very costly when paying individually.

@Shonap92 Welcome to the Community.
Thanks for the details mentioned. I appreciate the research done prior to posting. When you're buying Premium, it will activate with the email address that you used to buy it, it won't be available to everyone in the family account.
I'll be around if you have any additional questions.

Maybe it would be worth fitbit looking into. As with things like this it's a lot for families to be paying out for for everyone. This will be the same reasoning as to why the likes of Spotify do a family service as they understand they'll get more from it in the long run.

Now that apple watch supports sleep tracking, o2 sensor and launched fitness+ available for everyone in the family for one monthly price, I would love to see more benefits from fitbit to keep me in their ecosystem.

It is so hard to believe that Premium is not a sharable feature and am extremely disappointed that FitBit is not even considering developing this in the future (based on the Feature Suggestion board). My husband just bought his tracker and if I had known that we wouldn't be able to share my account, then I would have advised him to get another brand so that at least if we are paying twice we can explore competitors and compare options. I WOULD NOT EVER pay double for anyone in may family of 6. I just upgraded to the Sense and was going to give my old Charge 2 to my son but now I am not because this is just frustrating me. It will take time but eventually, they will have to come around. Too disappointed.

I agree , family accts are everything in 2021. In fact we loved premium, but passed on keeping it because in reality each family member would not be worth it especially when you can actually just use alt apps.. at least a family plan would get big famlies to really consider it..buut i think its aimed tward singles

Enough with the robotic response, we have all paid a decent price for our devices and the premium service isn't that cheap either. I would like to see a real response from a ream member of the Fitbit Corporation to make a comment in this. Tell us why we should stay and continue being users while adding more family members. I am thinking twice about my purchase a year in to owning it as I would rather be able to have more freedom to use the features I bought it for with out having to be charged so much.

Hi @Wildandfreedad the Fitbit Moderator (and Fitbit employee) @SilviaFitbit has replied several times in this thread. You can purchase a year of Premium for $79 and if you have a new Fitbit, it often comes with a free six month or more of Premium. As for telling you why you should stay, only you can be the judge of that. Many people don't get Premium and find the information they receive is more than enough to keep them happy. Maybe you'll get a response from Fitbit here, but mostly it's other community members who respond.

A Fitbit premium household/family account needs to be addressed asap! I would buy more fitbits for the wife and kids if it was available and a reasonable upgrade price from the single/personal account.
