Cannot change the profile or cover picture in the Fitbit dashboard

Using the fitbit.com dashboard from my PC, I cannot get my profile picture or cover picture to actually update. I have small .PNG files. I've re-logged in and tried 3 different browsers.  It appears to allow the upload and shows the new picture, and lets me re-orient it but just does not appear to save it.  Seems pretty basic function that should work.
