Calories are very important when it comes to tracking a diet however fat consumption can be just as relevant. Even sugars/carbs ae well.
It would be really great if there was an option to show more than just calories so you know you are reaching your limit on all important things which help you stay healthy or lose weight.
After all a balanced diet and exercise are important. Just a thought.

There are lots of things to consider. 1st is a calorie is a calorie is a calorie is wrong. The amount of energy it takes to process simple and complex carbs is very different than the energy required to process fats and proteins. There is also a difference in the glycemic load between carbs and proteins/fats. Also, all fats are broken down into Amino Acids and reassembled so genetics plays a major role in LDL/HDL and total cholesterol.
My advice and I am not a physician/nutritionist, is to consult your physician and get a complete blood panel including hormones levels testosterone is very important as is estrogen as well as fasting blood sugar and maybe a test for insulin sensitivity. For men, DHEA can also be important.
Also, remember these results all have a "normal" range. If you are near the button of the range you are "normal" but still might benefit from supplementation.
